After many years, this World Cup seems to be one of the most balanced ones with each team having the ability to win it.
The format of this tournament is what makes it even harder.
Australia have been reinforced by the inclusions of Warner and Smith. These two names alone are enough to win you matches on a given day. However Australia lack middle over power and this is where we think Australia lack the experience to be crowned Champions this year.
India is coming into this tournament as one of the favorites and undoubtedly so. A team which is backed by a fearless leader like Kohli, it's quite clear India will end up as one of the 4 quater-finalists. But do they have enough bowling depth to choke other teams batting units? Bhuvneswar kumar has not been at his best lately and Shami has his days with the ball but we don't feel it will be enough to get India over the line and win the tournament. Jasprit Bhumrah, the best limited overs bowler in the world right now is the biggest weapon this tournament and how Kohli utilizes him will make it or break it for India.
So who do we think will win?
Their batting has transformed 180 degrees over the past year or two and they only play one way - see ball, hit ball. Morgan has said that there is no second guessing for any batsmen in his team. When they step on the crease, he has asked them to play with a clear mind and have no regrets when getting out to a run-scoring shot.
Putting up scores over 320 is bread and butter for them now but how will their bowling handle the pressure? Well, after the inclusion of Jofra Archer, we feel England don't have a lot to worry on the bowling end as well. Jofra is in prime form at the moment and coming from a successful IPL stint, he is ready to fire for England.
